Other than that there's a megapixel bump to 12.2 megapixels, though we can probably ignore this upgrade to the new sibling. A more distinct improvement is the use of Canon's DIGIC III image processor. The DIGIC III processor ensures superior image rendering and rapid response times, with an almost instant 0.1 start up. Canon

From the reviews that I have read regarding canon dslr's, it has been mentioned that the lower end of the canon dslr's aren't exceptionally great compared to the Sony Alpha's as well as the Nikons. However, their higher end such as the mark 3 is on par.

I'm not sure how much of it is true but from the comparison of photos that they provided, it was proven so.

Hopefully, the 450D will be able to bring up their standard as I'm looking forward to testing it.

Different strengths

I would think that each brand has their strengths and weaknesses, Canon is known for their low noise levels, but the new Nikon models are able to compete on low noise levels as well right now, whereas Sony has the advantage of built in stabliser, will have to see how the 450D is going to perform, I would love to test it out too if possible :D
