Well since I've never really mentioned what kind of equipment I use to shoot my photos, I thought I'd just write about it in this post.

I've just bought my DLSR in the middle of 2007, so don't expect me to own high end gear and L-lenses. However I'm very proud with what I have and the photos I'm able to capture with them.

I'm a Canon user, and my first ever DLSR is the Canon 400D, yea, recently Canon announced the new Canon 450D which has live view and more megapixels, but hey I'll still make the best of what I have.

Lenses in my inventory are the 18-55 Kit Lens, 75-300mm F4-5.6 and my newly acquired Tamron SP90mm. I'm yet to acquire an external flash though.

Well that's all the gear I have right now, I actually find the kit lens to be rather good and usable as opposed to popular belief that it's a sucky and useless lens. It has managed to produce some nice photos for me so far, until I have the means to own something way better, it's still as useful as ever. I strongly suggest beginners to start off with the kit lens, and keep it even when you have a better lens, I'm sure it will still come in handy some day.

The telephoto lens is a bit challenging to use without the IS, however even with IS, telephoto lenses are still a challenge to use. The length and weight is enough to add that much of handshake needed to ruin your whole photo! But still I'm amazed at some of the nice shots it has managed to produce for me.

As for the Tamron SP90mm, can't comment much on it yet as I actually just acquired it late yesterday, no real opportunity to try it out yet. Will comment on it later after some shooting sessions.
